Labor Member for Reid, Sally Sitou, today announced a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will support upgrades to the community hub of the Australian Korean Association of Sydney & NSW in Croydon
Park.
This $130,000 election commitment will support vital building works to improve the accessibility, functionality and safety of the Association’s premises on Brighton Avenue. This facility has long served as a cornerstone for the Korean Australian community in Sydney, hosting cultural celebrations, educational programs and essential community services.
The upgrades will ensure the centre remains a welcoming, safe and inclusive space for all users—including the elderly and those with mobility needs—while supporting the Association’s cultural and social mission.
The facility in Croydon Park serves a significant community across Sydney’s inner south-west and the upgrade also has the support of the Hon Tony Burke MP, the Member for Watson, and the Prime Minister the Hon Anthony Albanese MP, the Member for Grayndler.
Labor will continue working with local leaders to deliver infrastructure that builds a stronger, more connected and inclusive community.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
Quotes attributable to Member for Reid, Sally Sitou MP:
